EAPCC ISO 9001:2015 & EMS 14001:2015 CERTIFICATION
We are proud to be awardees of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification; internationally recognized standards which demand a high degree of leadership commitment and ensures that our services meet the needs of clients through an effective Quality Management System; and Environmental protection through an Environmental Management System.
EAPCC was formally presented with the certificates by KEBS Ag. MD, Mr. Bernard Nguyo at KEBS offices in South C, Nairobi on 16th November 2018.
According to the new standard ISO 9001:2015, the primary focus of an organization’s Quality Management program is to meet customer requirements and exceed expectations in terms of the quality of products and services.
Certification to ISO 14001:2015 demonstrates that we are committed to caring for the environment and provides a framework to manage our legal compliance and improve environmental performance. It means that EAPC PLC activities are bases on increased efficiently, conserving resources and waste minimization.
Achieving environmental performance is also demanded by regulatory bodies e.g. NEMA, customers and other stake-holders due to increased concerns along with environmental compliance.
EAPCC successful “ISO International Certification” is testament to the positive engagement of colleagues at all levels and demonstrates a clear desire to embrace the standards as fundamental elements of our growth and customer focus approach.
ISO 9001: 2008
EAPCC was certified on the 26th June 2009 as having developed and implemented the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008.
The scope of the certification covers limestone and kunkur mining and clinker and cement production.
The Company underwent a successful re-certification audit to confirm compliance to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems. It was awarded with the certificate for continued certification on July, 21st 2012 by the Kenya Bureau of Standards.
The Company operates within the disciplines and control of ISO 9001:2008 to realize the key benefits of customer satisfaction, consistency in product quality, enhancement of shareholder value through performance measurement, analysis and adoption of appropriate improvement strategies and enhancement of integration of business processes through effective process interactions.
The Company is committed to this standard to ensure effective customer satisfaction.
OHSAS 18001:2007
This is an international occupational health and safety management system (OH&S).
This system enables organizations with the elements of an effective OH&S system that can be integrated with other management functions seamlessly and deliver efficiencies while safety. With OHSAS certification in place, organizations reduce their risk exposure and improve profitability and sustainability.
